Here you'll find everything to the Masters of the Universe-Chronology like the Comics, TV Shows and so on.

Media that caused problems in placing in the Chronology are detailly explained here.

If a Media (Book, Comic etc) isn't listed here, there were no problems about their placing within the timeline.

Foreword

Despite other Chronologies this one was made entirely of scratch by myself in 2009. At the time there were much of the then available material embedded - which means for this Version the MOTU Classics and further Publications have to be incorporated. There is also a new Netflix Series and the whole Origin-Line.

Some may not agree with any Points of the Chronology – especially because there is everything in it, that has ever been officially published to MOTU, including the New Cartoon, the Classic Cartoon and the New Adventures, the German Cassettes and Publications and so on.

One of the great critics I recieved from the German Forums on this Chronology was, that it is impossible to merge the Classics and the 200X Storylines. Well, at last Mattel himself has proven this to be untrue with its Motu-Classics-Line, which, in its Character Bios combines all Sources. A feature I highly appreciate ;).

With the new Comics Line there were even a bunch of Parallel Universes added, which are also incorporated here.

Of Course it depends on the Reader whether to reject some Dates or not but hopefully you’ll enjoy this Chronology – I enjoyed writing it!

And yes, there is no difference between animated and Live Action-Series, as the whole Masters Canon is mostly on animated Series.

Du to the Chaos the Classics-Bios left behind one might not agree with every Timeline placings presented here. As Mattel once said: It is up to everyone to create his own He-Man-Timeline. This is my interpretation.

The Dating of MOTU

The First Problem in Writing this Chronology: How to Date it? When takes what Event place?

There haven’t been any Reference Dates in None of the Series – and there haven’t been Reference Dates about Eternian Years too. So what to do? Setting MOTU in the Mid-80s where it had been produced? Seems quite acceptable. And you can’t start a New Timeline for example at Adams Birth is Year 0 and so far.

But then there was the MOTU – The Movie (1987) and it’s Comic (and whatever you may think of it, it IS an official Part of the MOTU-Saga). The Comic of the Movie GIVES us the EXACT Date on which MOTU takes place: The Earth Year 3221 (A Thousand Years after the Mentioned Crashlanding of an Earth Ship on Eternia). There are no other Sources that deny this Information so there is no Reason to reject it.

Now you can count on this Date: When the Earth Year 1987 is the MOTU-Year 3221, then 1983-1986 would be 3217-3220, and this is where the Classic Cartoon takes place. One Season on Television is One Year so after every Season of the Cartoon there is another Year that has passed.

With This the Workings on the Chronology began.

TV Shows

Masters of the Universe (1983)

The Cartoon started in 1983, which is the Year 3217 in the Chronology. The First Season caused no Problems and it and the Second Season were sorted in the Production Order mentioned on He-Man.org. 1985 there was the Princess of Power Cartoon, started off at about the Hundreth Episode of MOTU (yet if it is not quite consistent with the Aired Dates). The First 30 She-Ra-Episodes are setted at the same time with the Last 30 MOTU-Episodes. The Christmas Special is therefore set to December 1985 (or 3219 in the Chronology). The Last She-Ra-Episodes were produced in 1986 but Aired First in 1987. This Episodes were also set in 1986/3220.

In “The Cosmic Comet” Zagraz explained, that he had his Last Visitor about 100 or 200 Years ago. You can take the Middle of 150 Years here and place this Date in the Chronology.

In “Shaping Staff” Skeletor says, that he will restore Evil-Lyn and Faker. Till this Point only He-Man saw Faker so that Fakers Later Appearances are consistent with this – He-Man’s Friends don’t recognize him as Faker.

In “The Time Corridor” there is no exact Date how Far He-Man and his Friends travel into Eternias Past. There is only one Point for Sure: It is a Time where Grayskull doesn’t yet exist.

Some of the Cartoon Episodes are similar (or nearly identical) with some of the Minicomics. These are: “Masks of Power” / dto., “Dragon’s Gift”/dto. And “A Tale of two Cities”/”Slave City”. These Episodes are nearly identical with the Comics and there is no Reason why two nearly identical Events shall Happen, so the Comics were sorted with the Cartoon-Episodes.

In “Creatures from the Tar Swamp” you never hear a Date how old Adam was as he was rescued by Orko – even the New Cartoon (one of the First Episodes has nearly an identical Scene) doesn’t.

Some Episodes, like “Orko’s Favorite Uncle” are sorted before others. In this Case “Orko’s Favorite Uncle” must be placed before “The Return of Orko’s Uncle” – because Orko meets Montork the First time in the First Episode. Although it was sorted correctly the Number of the Episodes remained in Production Order. So it is possible that some Episodes with higher Numbers are placed before others with Minor Numbers.

In “House of Shokoti” there are again no Chronological Dates. It is mentioned that 1000 Years after the Buildance of Shokoti’s Pyramid it had been hidden but you don’t hear a Date when it was built. The Same Problem in “Double-Edged Sword”.

In “The Mystery of Man-E-Faces” presents us a Story of Man-E-Faces and how he was influenced by Skeletor. This Story conflicts with some Others – Like in the New Cartoon or the Minicomics. But it is A Told Story and you may ask how exaggerated it is. Skeletor may have influenced Man-E-Faces but there are no other Chronological Dates about this.

In “The Energy Beast” there are again no Informations about the Date when the Beast has been arrested. It’s only said it was “Millions of Years” ago. The Same in “Fisto’s Forest”. But of course “Fito’s Forest” presents another told Story and for every told Story you can’t exactly say what is true and what isn’t.

Adam celebrates his Birthday in “The Great Books Mystery”. There are no Words about his Age but if you count the Candles it’s about 17-19. The Minicomic “The Tale of Teela!” gives us the Birthday of Teela (whether there are a few things in this Comic which are questionable there is no Reason to reject the Given Date – for more of this look in the Comic-Section). From “The Once and Future Duke” we know that Adam and Teela are born in the SAME Year (they BOTH Played with David when they BOTH were 8). This was corrected a bit du to the "Classics"-Retcon, but Teela and Adam are close together and the 8 Years are still correct. Therefore it’s Adams 22th Birthday.

“The Origin of the Sorceress” shows us how the Sorceress became the Sorceress. This Happened at a Time when the Horde attacked Eternia (or the Attack is directly ahead, because the sorceress says, that they’ll be ready for them). There may be a Problem with how long the Horde Attack lasts. A Year? Longer? There are no Infos about this but the Episode must be about the Year 3196. As we know from the new MOTU Classics Line this must be the Time when Hordak kidnapped Adora, which is consistent with the Birth Year of 3196. As far as we don't know how exactly he was trapped at Despondos we can't say if or how he managed to do this (maybe the Remembrance Scene in "Power of the Sword" is not quite consistent and Hordak is just a 'placeholder' there, what means he was not 'really' there).

The Memories of Marlena in “The Rainbow Warrior” are also questionable. Randor wasn’t King when she crashlanded but it looks as if he is. Maybe it’s shortly before he became King, but this would be about 3196 and it doesn’t make sense that Adora and Adam were born in the same Year she landed (this seems a Little too fast). In the New Cartoon we See Randor with his Beard in “The Beginning”, which is also placed 3196. Well, Marlenas Memories contradicts her former Memorys seen in an earlier Episodes so we can assume that she hasn’t an exact Memory of her Landing. However, one of the DC Comics gives us the exact Date of Marlenas Crashlanding, placing it in 3191.

The Episodes 91 and 92, “Jacob and the Widgets” and “The Littliest Giant”, presents us the Widgets (again). Jacob stays with them but isn’t mentioned in Episode 92. Ok, only the Beginning of Episode 92 is placed in the Widget Stronghold so maybe he is there but isn’t seen.

The Transformation of Cringer to Battle Cat is described in “Battlecat”. There are Problems with this with the New Cartoon and the first Minicomics. But again the Episode presents an told Story and therefore it may not be Fully the Truth. An interesting Fact is, that Cringer can’t Speak in the Episode until he is transformed to Battle Cat. So this Episode maybe doesn’t show Cringers FIRST Transformation but the One after which he is able to Speak! This fits perfectly in accordance with the New Cartoon. But there is “Creatures from the Tar Swamp” and in this Episode we can hear Cringer in the Scene with Young Adam that he says something. But this can be ignored, because in the New Cartoon in exactly the Same Scene in “Lessons” Cringer doesn’t speak (so, to use a famous word: it was retconned).

“The Time Wheel” again has no Chronological Reference Date.

As said in “Search for the Past” King Miro was imprisoned for Years. There is no exact Date about Miro’s Disappearance (even not in the New Cartoon where this is mentioned too) but we can set it by using the Facts: It must be before Randor became King (he wouldn’t become King as long as Miro is of course) and Randor became King in “The Beginning”, in the Year of Adoras and Adams Birth 3196. The She-Ra-Episode with King Miro mentioned this also.

“Happy Birthday Roboto” gives us another Problem: It contradicts with a Few Comics and the New Cartoon. But Roboto is only a Robot and in this Classic-Episode it is said, that there are much more of them. Maybe the Roboto of the New Cartoon has been destroyed sometimes before the Episode and Man-at-Arms made a New One (Comic) which is also destroyed (or maybe send reprogrammed to an Outworld Mission) until a New Roboto lands on Eternia (which has no Memories at all). All this Incidents seem quite consistent – especially with the Roboto Character so we can Set the Episode to it’s right place in the Chronology.

She-Ra - Princess of Power (1985)

The She-Ra-Cartoon started off in 1985/3219. The Sorceress erased the Memories of all Eternians about Adoras kidnapping, so it is also possible for the New Cartoon that Hordak kidnapped her. The Sorceress and Man-at-Arms follow Hordak to Snake Mountain where he escapes (which ends the Horde Attack on Eternia). This must be very shortly before the Sorceress and Man-at-Arms created the Mystic Wall (mentioned in “The Beginning”). As mentioned before the New Cartoon states, that Hordak was trapped in Despondos by 3196 so he may not "really" be there (maybe a Projection or a Henchman or something else). This is of course no contradiction at all. The First Season Episodes of She-Ra are set parallel to the MOTU-Episodes.

In “Enchanted Castle” we see the Celebration of the Freeing of Mystacor, but it is impossible that it’s one Year or more back, so maybe the Story Adora tells Kowl happened recently (or the Etherian Time runs faster). There is a similar Problem later with General Sunders Daughter. But like the Classic Cartoon this Episode contains a told Story and you can’t exactly say whether it’s true or not.

We too have mere Chronological Dates in the She-Ra Episodes. It is said that something happened “long ago” etc..

The Attack of the Horde on Etheria can be set to 3199 like proven in two Episodes: “Micah of Bright Moon” shows us the 20th Anniversary of Angella’s and Micah’s Wedding and that they were a happy family, right before the Horde Attacked. “Anchors aloft” tells us, that Sea Hawks Father disappeared 20 Years ago while Fighting the Horde. So when the Horde wasn’t there when Angella and Micah married but were there when Sea Hawks Father disappeared in the Same Year it must be 3199. The Classics the retconned it a little bit as to shortly after Adoras kidnapping, so it was moved to 3197.

“Darksmoke and Fire” presents She-Ra travelling 1000 Years into the Past (First it is told of a few thousand Years but then the exact Years are mentioned). She helps to arrange Cease Fire between Humans and Dragons. We know from the Classic-Episodes that Granamyr trusted a Human the Last Time 2 Years earlier (“Dragon’s Gift”). You can debate about if this is the Battle from this She-Ra-Episode or not. However in the upcoming 1000 Years the Peace between Dragons and Humans didn’t last. This also was brought in line with the Great Wars with the Classics.

“Return of the General” shows us Sunders Family – his Wife and Daughter. The Daughter seems to be 3 Years old – but going by the Seasons it could only be about 1 Year. Maybe she was adopted? But when why hasn’t she been there in “Unexpected Ally”? Maybe because she was a Baby about this time? Other Episodes seem to prove that Etherian Time runs faster. But setting the Episode later in the Chronology is senseless – so maybe Sunders Daughter is adopted or is able to run and speak with Age 1 (one of those Miracle Childs?). After all this is not really a point that conflicts the Chronology - but I found it interesting enough to mention it ;).

Another Strange Things in She-Ra are the Rock People and Snout Spout – see about this in the Comic-Section.

The Slime Pit in “Loo-Kee’s Sweety” must be another than the One from the Comics.

The New Adventures of He-Man (1990)

Again we have the Dating Problem here (and no matter what you think of the Series, it IS Part of the MOTU-Saga) but in “Crack in the World” Skeletor mentioned the exact Date he and He-Man travelled into the Future. This however was later retconned in the Motu Classics Line. Here, Skeletor and He-Man just travel into Space for further Adventures. As “MOTU Classics” connects nearly all parts of Motu-Canon we go with this new date.

Again in the New Adventures there aren’t much References to foremost Events – but if you see the Time the Series plays it wouldn’t have much influence on the Classic-Epoch.

There are of course Problems with the Minicomics and the Cartoon – He-Man’s travel into the Future is different! It is for Sure that He-Man travelled into the Future (or, thanks to Classics just into Space) with the Starship/Timeship like it is mentioned in every Versions. In the Comics Skeletor sees Adams transformation, in the Cartoon this remains a Secret (but well Skeletor is not so stupid after all, why didn’t he ask himself what Adam does in the Future?).

Masters of the Universe (2003)

Another Part of the MOTU-Universe: The New Series. It is also Part of the Chronology instead of that is stated it may be a total New-Interpretation. So far there are no discrepancies with the Classic-Cartoon. In the Classic-Cartoon the only Snake Men that appeared are Rattlor and Tung Lashor (mostly in the She-Ra-Cartoon). As long as King Hsss is banned in the Void again there is No discrepancy. This was not explicitly shown, but we’ll look into that at the Comics Section.

Also the “Race” between Man-at-Arms and Mer-Man in the Classic-Cartoon-Episode “Teela’s Quest” – dated One Year after the Buildance of the Mystic Wall – causes no Problems. In “The Beginning” Mer-Man brings a Coridite-Crystal to Skeletor and it’s obviously that he is able to swim in the Sea of Rakash and can therefore pass the Mystic Wall (you don’t really believe that the Mystic Wall spans the whole Planet, hundreth of Feets Deep in the Sea of Rakash do you?).

Again we have the typical “Something happened Years ago”-Sentences in the New Series (did I ever mention how I hate this?), like in “Mekanecks Lament”.

In "The Power of Grayskull" you don't have an exact date (again!), when King Grayskull lived, but you can come close looking the other Episodes: Tung Lashor mentions in "Rattle of the Snake" that this is the second Invasion of Eternia - so there can only been one Invasion, 1000 years earlier. King Hsss fought King Grayskull, so this too must have been 1000 years ago (King Grayskull would surely not be in an Age over 1000!). So what timespan is in between? If you assume that the First Cartoon Season spans one year the time between "Snake Pit" and "Rattle..." is almost one year too. So, going back 1000 years, the events are as follows: 1000 years ago King Hsss fought Hordak and was defeated (NOT a Snake Men Invasion at that point!) and King Grayskull defeated Hordak. The Classics Bios clarified more on this and also increases the Timespan (see below).

One thing to mention too: Hordaks' creating of the Dark Hemisphere and help in the Creation of the Central Tower should also be around that time.

The Invasion of the Horde in Adams Birth Year could also happen as depicted, as the Horde not only consists of Hordak. Horde Prime has more Armies and might have banished Hordak to Despondos again.

She-Ra and the Rebel Princesses (2018)

The new Netflix-Series of 2018 presents a complete new Imaging of She-Ra and her Friends with basically no Connections to Eternia and He-Man. It might have been possible to sort the Events of the Series in the Prime-Timeline, but as established within the 2012-DC-Comics we now have Parallel Universes in the Masters-Canon. Therefore this interpretation should be placed as happening in such a Universe. (A nice hint to this is in the fourth Episode of Season 2, where a segment is presented in the Ways of the Old Carton and its mentioned that this is not even possible).

The Question to ask is where to start chronologically. It could be when Adora is transformed to She-Ra as in the Prime Timeline (Age around 22), or when she is 16, as she and her friends are probbaly that young in the new Cartoon-Series. This would coincidentally meet with the 2003-Series in the Prime-Timeline. To take a nod to both possibilites - younger self and the depiction of the Classic POP-Cartoon in the Second Season Episode mentioned above - I placed it in a way, that the Season is in the Timeframe of the Starting of the Classic Cartoon and the Start of the Series was a year before. As Season 2 & 3 have a shorter amount of Episodes it matches with the Classic Cartoon and Adora learning her Origins.

Shadow Weavers Transformation is shown in Episode 1x07 and is similar to the Classic-Series. There is no explicit date, but it is at the same time as Adoras Kidnapping. This is also true for Hordaks banishment in Despondos so the Events were also moved to 3196 for the Prime Timeline.

The Special Episodes (like the Swift Wind Adventures) are placed after 2x02, as She-Ra and Swift Wind train there together and harden their friendship.

Revelation (2021)

The new Cartoon is a continuation of the old Series, even though there are discussions if it is another Parallel Universe. But the producers want it to be in the Prime Timeline, so this is where to set it.

At the beginning the Series has a nice depiction of an Ehapa Comic (or lets say a Poster of one of it), not only cementing its Prime Timeline Status but also that of the mentioned Comics. The Story of the Series has therefore be set afterwards. Theoretically the Series also continues the Story of the Classic Princess of Power Cartoon, as, with its crossovers, this is intertwined with the Classic Masters Cartoon. So the Hordes must be around somwhere ;).

What is ignored, however, is the 2003-Cartoon and therefore the Snake Men. This might change in the Future, but see also the Section about this in the "Classics". But well, thats not entirely correct, as the Flying Disks are introduced. First seen in the Movie they were later prominent in the 2003 Cartoon. Or Orko as the Oracle. There is also the Classics Concept of more He-Men that is also introduced and the fact, that the Three Towers are seen should place the Events of the Series clearly after they've Risen again. (We can, however, ignore, that King Grayskull is Black, as one can choose his Afterlife Form on its own). The Hall of Wisdom also comes from the 2003 Cartoon (and means, that Keldor and Co. fought in Grayskull during the Pilot Episode).

According to the many Secrets in "Revelation" that are to be revealed (Title (sic!)), it must be late in the History of He-Man, so shortly before he goes to Space and most obviously around the Time the Heroes become renegades and the second Ultimate Battleground. Also there has to be some time go by until the time Teela quit and the second Episode. Tri-Klops also needs time to redesign Snake Mountain (the transformation chalice is a nice nod to the Tech-Virus of the "Classics").

I decided to go with one year of time that has pased until we hear further. Also, Evil-Lyn and Skeletor call He-Man and Teela Younglings, even though they are in their late 20ies. Okay, Skeletor and Evil-Lyn are 20 years or more older than the Heroes, so it seems possible (even if I must state that the depiction of Adam seems very Young). It doesn't make sense for Teela to become Captain with 18 and shortly thereafter new Man-at-Arms. The Timespan of her being 28 is more likely. This sets the fights with Skeletor on a 10 Year Timespan, which also seems plausible. So the old Villians call our Hero's Younglings as they are - from their point of View ;).

Discrepancies arise according the First Meeting of Skeletor and Evil-Lyn. While her zalesian Family could be explained with it was them who adopted her after she was sent into the Future, the Scene on the Road ("The Gupper Rat") directly contradicts the 200X Cartoon, where Lyn joined Keldor after attacking a Library. The Scene also has the Problem of Skeletor being Skeletor and not Keldor. The Explanation is, of course, that, while Revelation is a continuation of the Classic-Cartoon, it ignores the 200X one. The Horde Symbol on Skeletor is however true to the canon, as Keldor joined Hordak after his banishment. If we ignore the Keldor-Discrepancy we can place the event in the Timeline (Lyn may have referred to Keldor though, they have conceived a child as Lyn and Keldor goign with the Rest of the Story). Teaching Lyn the ways of magic fits well in the Timeline however. The Events of the 200X Cartoon must have occured shortly thereafter, as she has her iconic outfit.

Making Lyn 25 when joining Skeletor makes her age at around 55 at the Events of Revelation.

Revolution (2024)

The Second Season of the New Cartoon aired in 2024, now dubbed "Revolution". A few problems remain however.

In the Second Episode ("Ascension"), Skeletor poses as Keldor. While Adam might not know the Connection between him and Skeletor at the Time, Marlena and Duncan should know, as they were there in the 200X-Series. What clearly is a lie is Skeletors Story of how he was thrown out of the Palace, which he admits later on. It is also very consistent with existing sources, as Keldors memories show scenes from the Past. We can even see a glimpse of the Kidnapping of Adora, so she isn't really gone ;).

That also fits with Skeletors Taining through Hordak (thus ignoring a little bit the shown Transformation, as these might not be the Final One and Keldor was merged later with Demo-Man using said Havoc Magic). This also confirms, that the Story in the "revelation"-Comic showing Skeletor as an Demon (from Infinita) with Skeleton People is only that: a Story.

The reamining "problems" are soley that of the dead Heroes (like Randor) at the end of this Season. With Despara even She-Ra gets her part. So there are many ways to continue the Story and to eliminate the discrepancies between the later Story Parts. At the Moment we don't know if this will ever be resolved. So we leave it as it is.

A few minor adjustments to the later Timeline have to been made however to fit with the Revolution-Continuity (which still is intended to be set in the Prime-Continuity).

Masters of the Universe (2021)

The new animated Series of 2021 is placed in a Parallel Universe, like "She-Ra and the Rebel Princesses". There are too much differences so it is not possible to place it in the Prime Timeline. For example Ram-Man is a Woman and called Ram-Ma'am, He-Man shares his Powers with the others and so on (another example is the technological Orko). This, however, remembers Readers of the "Masters of the Multiverse"-Comic, in which on another Parallel Universe He-Man shares his Powers with the Masters (they don't look as technisized like in the new Series, but they might even be the same). Another hint for a Parallel Universe. The Series also uses Elements from the Classics, such as the Realnames of Ram-Ma'Am and Beastman.

The only question is, when the Series takes place in the Chronology. As there is a Teenage-Adam fighting against Skeletor the timeframe can be the same as the 2003-Cartoon (Skeletor even exists at that Time).

Additionally they place the Time of King Grayskull again 1000 Years in the Past, which ties in with the other Series (why I'm not going with the 5000 Year gap, you can read in the apropriate Section).

In the Second Episode of Season 2 we hear Teelas Age (16), which is consistent with the Chronology so far, thus confirming the Placement of this Season in 3213.

Movies

Masters of the Universe (1987)

By placing everything ever published in the chronology MOTU – The Movie was also plotted in. But there are a Few Points to reward about this: In the Movie Comic it is said that the First Eternians stranded 2221 on Eternia. From Episodes from the Classic Cartoon we know that there WERE Humans who lived before that time on Eternia. Maybe this indicates the First Royal Family? (However a Starship crashed 1000 Years ago on Eternia and maybe that’s the Reason why the Eternians speak English;)?).

Saurod does not die in the Comic. Because of the Movie and the Comic shall be the Same we can assume that Saurod didn’t die (maybe he only was teleported somewhere). Some of the Later published Comics feature Suarod as well so he must be alive somehow.

The Last Thing to debate about is of Eternia in Ruins after the Movie. Actually there is no sign of how much of Eternia is destroyed and because of some Later Comics everything must have been build up again.

Comics

Classic Minicomics (He-Man & She-Ra)

Some of the Cartoon Episodes are similar (or nearly identical) with some of the Minicomics. These are: “Masks of Power” / dto., “Dragon’s Gift”/dto. And “A Tale of two Cities”/”Slave City”. These Episodes are nearly identical with the Comics and there is no Reason why two nearly identical Events shall Happen, so the Comics were sorted with the Cartoon-Episodes.

The She-Ra-Minicomics aren’t familiar with the Cartoon but with the Toyline (Catra is the Enemy). But you can sort them in the Chronology and say, that Catra attacked a few times without Hordak (an Explanation that this is True is mentioned in the UK-Comics). The Comics begin in 1985 (3219) by watching a Little Bit at the Surrounding Events. The 86’ Comics and the Audio Cassettes are sorted after the Cartoon Series. Some comics have a 1984 Printing Date but you have to sort them with the 85’ Comics (“Journey to Mizar” for example: You can’t fight with Angella when she isn’t free which happened in TSOS). Also you have to sort “A Born champion” After “Assault on the Hive” because of the Appearance of Sweet Bee. It would make no Sense sorting the Cartoon after the Comics.

“The Story of She-Ra” has a Little discrepancy with the Cartoon Pilot Episodes. She-Ra fights against Catra, He-Man appears and helps her and the Sorceress then tells them of her heritage. This might be when She-Ra and He-Man flee from the Magna Beam and the Fright Zone in TSOS – a Little fight against Catra on the Way. Therefore it was placed with TSOS (and the Shortcut for “The Story of She-Ra” is also TSOS).

The First Classic Minicomics have an Other Version of Eternia: He-Man leaves hid Tribe to fight for Grayskull. With the known Story of Adam there are a Lot of mistakes in here. But the Comics and their Events can’t be ignored though. The Second DC Comic “The Key to Castle Grayskull” explains, that He-Man helped an Nomadic Tribe shortly before so this MUST be the Tribe of the First Minicomic. In “He-Man and the Power Sowrd” it is also said, that Skeletor came from another World. Well, maybe Skeletor visited another World somewhen in his Life so this could be possible. A little more clarity came from the Classics Line, as they invented Oo-Larr, the Jungle He-Man. But more on this in the Classics Section.

In “The Tale of Teela!” it is said that Teela was born 20 Years ago (3196) and no Matter what you may think of the Comic there is no Reason to reject this Date. The Story Skeletor tells Teela indeed must be a Lie (or has some sort of it in it), because 3196 Skeletor was Keldor (but like in the Cartoon Episodes you must be careful with “told Stories”).

“The Magic Stealer!” presents a tiny Mistake: Zoar and the Sorceress just standing nearby! Well that Time no One knews that they wanted to make the Sorceress Zoar but we have to find an Explanation for MOTU. So maybe it’s a Robot Bird or a Trick from the Sorceress to keep her identity.

“He-Man meets Ram-Man” presents the (first?) meeting of He-Man and Ram-Man – but with a little mistake (even if you exclude the New Cartoon). One Issue before in “The Power of… Point Dread!” asks He-Man for Ram-Man, who is en Route. The Early Minicomics all have NUMBERS so “…Dread!” can’t play after “… Ram-Man”. Maybe something with Ram-Mans Mind? Or maybe something happened which we don’t know of yet. Whatever we can assume that Skeletor influenced Ram-Man somehow (he tells him of the Laughing Castle Grayskull) and for what Reason ever he was tricked by him.

The Same with “The Menace of… Trap Jaw!”. There are mistakes here as well – it is definitvely NOT the FIRST Meeting with Trap Jaw (even if you exclude the new Series). Again this Comic has a Number and can’t be set earlier. But you can see Trap Jaw on Skeletor’s Side a few Issues earlier! So maybe a Little Journey of Trap Jaw to another World? An attempt to flee from Skeletor? Seems so…

Again the Same in “The Ordeal of Man-E-Faces!” and “The Terror of Tri-Klops!”. The First One is Less a Problem if you assume that Man-E-Faces was able to Transform himself before the Comic (as shown in the New Series). An interesting Point is that the Sorceres says, that Skeletor maybe try to influence Man-E-Faces again (as happened later in the Classic Cartoon – and there is also an Episode in the 2003 Series in which Beast Man tries to control Man-E-Faces). “The Terror of… Tri-Klops!” must be seen under the Aspect of the 2003 Series. But else you can assume that Skeletor just grapped Tri-Klops out of Battle and using him to Attack He-Man. Again this Comic has a Number and a Few Issues Earlier we can see Tri-Klops on Skeletor’s Side so again he must have been there before.

The 85’ Minicomics start after the Cartoon so they can sensefully go with the She-Ra-Episodes. The 83’ and 84’ Comics are at their appropriate Year, seeing for Surrounding Events and sort them all over the Year as they were printed (“Clash of Arms” for example near the Episode “Fisto’s Forest” and so on).

The Roboto-Section was mentioned in the Classic-Cartoon Section.

You have two Appearances of Battle Bones: “Skeletor’s Dragon” and “Stench of Evil”. They both reappear in the Audio Cassettes but in other form – see there for further Infos. In “Skeletor’s Dragon” Skeletor didn’t bend the Dragon on him so maybe it is another One the the One from the Cassette.

“Grizzlor – A Legend comes alive” has a 84 Printing Date on Cover (Cover-Printing Dates are normally a Good odd sorting them in) but has to be placed with the 85’ Comics (He-Man’s Friends meet Grizzlor but faraway only He-Man had met him). Maybe it was printed in 84 but published in 85 (like “Hordak – The Ruthless Leaders Revenge” and “Mantenna and the Menace…”, both are placed in 85 but after “Grizzlor…” and “Leech – Master of Power Suction Unleashed” because He-Man’s Friends meet the Creatures there the First Time). But what about Hordak, he could tried to Attack Eternia earlier, before He-Man meets Adora, but this has a discrepancy with “Leech…” in which the Heroes are Surprised by an Attack of Hordak so it has to be placed before “Hordak…” and “Mantenna…”.

“The Treachery of Modulok” must be set directly after (or partly during) “Gateway to Trouble”, because you see Modulok going to the Horde. Well, He-Man must have seen Modulok before so we can question why he didn’t recognize him – maybe he thought it would only be something similar. That Modulok is able to spilt himself in Parts is unknown at that Point.

The History of the Rock People is a little confusing looking for their Appearances. First they land in “The Rock People” on Etheria, then Stonedar and Rokkon travel to Eternia in “Rock People to the Rescue” and hordak attacks them Twice after that (“Between a Rock and a Hard Place” & “Escape from the Slime Pit!”). Very well so far. But then there are the Cassettes and the Second Ehapa-Comic. In the Cassettes Stonedar and Rokkon again land on Eternia (and no one knows them) – but maybe they were seen as Rocks and therefore not recognized First, so they may have been on a Journey. In the Comic we see a Swarm of Meteorites (actually Rock People) land on Eternia and He-Man and his Friends stop them. Well again we can assume that they weren’t recognized in their Rock Form just as Skeletor planned as he tried to throw them on Grayskull. Fits quite well – and explains why He-Man and the Rock People became Friends very fast. So maybe the Rock People took some Trips after their landing on Etheria (or Move their whole Race to Eternia because Etheria is unsafe). In the Second Star-Comic Rokkon and Stonedar again land on Eternia – but here it is the Meteorb-Hunt which is imminent to the Story. Because of so much different Sources we should ignore the Fact that the Rock People introduce themselves so often to He-Man and his Friends.

“The Terror Claws strike!” must be set before “Escape from The Slime Pit!” and “Flying Fists of Power”, because Skeletor wears his Claws in “…Pit!” and we see a Snake Men (Rattlor as it seems) so “King of the Snake Men” must be placed before that Comic too . Those two Comics have a 85’ Signature but must be placed later in the Timeline, because they have to Play AFTER the Last She-Ra-Episode in which we can see Snake Men (“Shades of Orko”, POP #90) because in “King of the Snake Men” King Hiss teleports Rattlor and Tung Lashor from the Horde to Eternia – and it doesn’t make sense that the two Snake Men will serve Hordak much longer when their King is back! Therefore this Comic must be placed in 3220. “…Claws”, “…Slime Pit!” and “Flying Fists…” follow, because the Comics name Events from the Further Comics and must be placed after them. The Freeing of King Hiss seems a Little disturbing because of the New Cartoon. Hiss must be trapped in the Void again with his Snake Men (instead of Rattlor and Tung Lashor, who Escape and Join Hordak while Kobra Khan joins Skeletor). Therefore Hiss’ “Revenge” he speaks of in the Minicomics has much more sense if this happens.

Multi-Bot first appears in “Black Snow”, a She-Ra-Episode. Therefore “The Menace of Multi-Bot!” must be placed shortly thereafter, because this is He-Man’s First Meeting with Multi-Bot.

“Between a Rock and a Hard Place” has a Scene from “Rock People to the Rescue” in it but has to placed after “…Slime Pit!”, because the Slime Pit is mentioned in the Comic. This places “Rock People to the Rescue” at the End of the Year 3219.

“The Ultimate Battleground!” has to be placed after the Cartoon-Series in 3220. It presents the re-appearance of the Eternia-Towers and makes the Way for “The Powers of Grayskull”. The Comic ends with the Words “The Bginning”.

In “Enter: Buzz-Saw Hordak” Hordak enters the Central Tower and talks about Time Travels which the Tower is able to accomplish. Because of this Randor wants to know more about Keldor in “The Search for Keldor” and this makes the Way for “Powers of Grayskull” and the Time Travel in that Comic so it has to be placed before the two Comics.

Well, with the New Cartoon at Hand we know that Skeletor IS Keldor so it seems strange that Randor looks for him in “The Search for Keldor”. But he speaks of ‘The Riddle of Keldor’ so we can assume he wanted to know more about Keldors Magic or something else.

“The Cosmic Key” must be placed before “The Powers of Grayskull” because the Sorceress mentioned that the usage of the Cosmic Key near the Eternia Towers opened the Time Portal.

New Adventures Minicomics

The “New Adventures” Minicomics also have a Different Story like the Cartoon. This might be the Most knowing Story how He-Man travels in the Future (the Real Event might be a Sort of Mixing the two Story Elements). But luckily there are only 4 Minicomics which can be sorted right easily with the Cartoon. The Comics are similar to the First Cartoon Episodes (theft of Trifusium-Crystals) so there is no Reason why two nearly identical Events shall Happen, so the Comics were sorted with the Cartoon-Episodes.

Icons of Evil / 2003 Comics

The Volume II-Comic of the New MOTU-Series must be placed after Episode 16: Two-Bad is there but Stinkor doesn’t still exist. From the “Icons of Evil”-Series we know that Skeletor created his Skeleton Warriors Years ago after the Creation of the Mystic Wall so it is possible that they appear here. The “Target Exclusive Comic” (2-Pack Comic) presents Skeletor who is able to Teleport – or so it seems (possibly it could be something else). But he learns it in the Volume II-Comic. Because of the Episode “Sky War” mentioned in the Target-Comic this Comic can’t be placed that Later and must be placed shortly after this Episode (but about Episode 9 because it took a few more Episodes for Skeletor to Learn of the Sorceress of Grayskull also mentioned in the Comic in direct Confrontation with Skeletor). The “Icons of Evil” again don’t have an Exact Date (again it all happened “Years ago”). But from the third Issue “Trap Jaw” we know they have to be placed shortly after the Creation of the Mystic Wall – so the Other Issue must be placed in the Same Year but a little earlier.

MV Creations Comics

The third issue of MV Creations (titled simply as MV Creations Volume 3) shows us the past of Stratos but again without chronological Info. To have Stratos nearly at the same age with Keldor and Randor this was placed in 3176, shortly before the Great Unrest. Subsequently the founding of Avion was moved 10 Years later.

German Comics

The Kellogs- and Micky Mouse-Comics were also sorted in (they were licensed though) but present only little Story Events and were therefore sorted in with short Entries.

Masters Magazines

The German Masters-Magazines (the Mattel-Advertisement-Magazines) hav similar mistakes like the Cassettes when you look at those incredible “First Meetings” of Characters. Again we must ignore those Sentences – but of Course not the Overall Stories which were placed in the Chronology. Magazine 86/1 must be placed after the Cassettes because of He-Mans Battle Armor (well could be a Point to debate about but the further Workings must be Improvements of the Armour). Magazine 88/1 must be placed shortly before the Movie (despite it has a 88’ Date), because it presents Skeletors First attempt to Steal the Cosmic Key.

Ehapa Comics

The 1987 Ehapa-Comics begin after the Movie (Hordak and the Eternia Towers are there and the First Issue started at the End of 87). So far it continues with thee Comics until 3223 and the Beginning of the New Adventures.

The NA-Ehapa-Comics can be sorted between the NA-Episodes. There are two Stories in the Issues playing shortly after another (like the Other Ehapas and the Interparts). The Story of Ehapa 89 #8 (“Skeletors Falle schnappt zu”) is almost the Same Story like the Episode “Glasnost Schmaznost”: Skeletor convinces the Galactic Council that he is the Good One. In the Comic he has influenced Darius to Help him, in the Episode he does it without him. Again it wouldn’t make sense that two (nearly) identical Events happen so the Comic was sorted with the Episode.

Interpart Comics

The German Interpart-Comics were published in 1985 and therefore placed in the appropriate Year.

The Classics BIOS place Issue 6 (Riders of Morc) at the Time of King He-Man. Well, this could be, as the Story is very light-written and doesn't contradict that directly, it was however placed with the rest of the issues in 3219 (See also the Classics Section for further Explanations). AS for Jitsus "First Appearance", it is like all the "First Appearances" in the first Minicomics - just another story, not going to deep in Detail with the Origins, as the Chronology doesn't deal with those minor errors (Jitsu will also stay with Skeletor according to upcoming and past Stories).

Issue 10 depicts another Dragon which Skeletor uses to attack He-Man but it doesn't fit well with the Action Figure. But as mentioned: just another Dragon.

The Comic Paperbacks of Interpart depict all a very similar Story on a few pages, therefor they are placed in short only in the Chronology. Due to the Retcon from the Classics BIOS they were placed in 3197 with Oo-Larr (well, they give an explanation for the presence of Teela - it's just the Goddess in disguise).

Early DC Comics

The DC Comics play shortly after another and are placed like that. The Story of the Two Halfes of the Power Sword ended with DC #3 (Key to Grayskull) with the known Story of One Power Sword and He-Man’s Transformation. So before the Beginning of the DC Minicomics He-Mans Sword must have been splitted apart and reunited in or after DC #3 (the Sorceress mentioned at the End of DC #3 that she will bring the Sword back to Safety – she doesn’t speak of the Two Halfes any More – and the Safety seems to be the Hands of He-Man). The “MOTU Classics” throw new Light on this Part and we’ll talk about this in the Classics Section.

Star Comics

The Fourth Starcomic describes the reappearnce of the Snake Men (similar to the Minicomic “King of the Snake Men” but with little Differencies). Therefore this Comic must be placed directly after the Minicomic (there is no Place for other Stuff in here). The only Strange Thing then are Skeletor and his Terror Claws but they appear in the Chronology in the following Minicomic so it is possible that Skeletor uses them here the First Time. The Terror Claws of the First Starcomic are obviously a Prototype (they are looking ahm strange) so he has improved them. The Last Three Starcomics have to be placed before the Movie (they’re published later) because in “Lifetime Part 1” it is mentioned how Skeletor conquered Grayskull using the Cosmic Key.

Newspaper Strips

The Newspaper Strips span different Eras. The first Story, "Coming of the Comet", deals again with Rokkon and Stonedars arrival. As the Story is similar to that of the Minicomic and the Estrela-Comic (yet much different in many ways) it was nevertheless placed there. It might have been a similar Story from different ankles (Skeletor tries to use a Comet more often). The Rock People were on Etheria first and then came to Eternia, which is right with the Chronology and explains Hordak's presence.

Same is for the Awakening of Hiss, that is slightly different but was placed alongside the other Awakening Stories.

The Time Travel in one issue is also interesting. It is said it goes back "millions of Years", but then Tyrantisaurus Rex and Turbodactyl appear (time of first ultimate Battleground). So the Time travle is either to that time (before the building of the three Towers), or 1 Million Years into the Past. As there is often talking about the prehistoric Eternia (which much resembles to Preternia) it was placed to that time. Interesting enough Hordak tries the same scheme as Skeletor did in the Cartoon. The enslaved People who know Adora and Bow must also be Etherians from the Future brought along, as Hordaks openly names them Etherians.

The Strips are also interesting as they present the building of the eternian Spacefleet (or their beginning). They definitive play after the Movie, as Gwildor is there, but before the NA. Also, Teela talks about her Love to He-Man.

The NA-Section of the Strips presents a battle and the return to Eternia, that is similar to the Cartoon-Episode (He-Man reveals his identity).  This was changed by the Classics later so we assume this scenes are the same/similar to the Episode and are placed there.

DC Comics (2012)

The new Masters Series throws away much from the old continuity, like in “Legends of Eternia”, that shows a new Origin-Story for our Heroes. No Mystic Wall, Skeletor sneaks in, Cringer transforms later and so on. It is later revealed it is all placed in another Universe but many things may also fit in the Prime-Timeline. Also, the first Battle of He-Man and Skeletor or the creation of Trap Jaw was in a Vision, so all could be a dream.

However, let's see if Events, that happen before the Comic and don't contradict the Timeline, could also be used for that. The Comic Series also confirms King Grayskulls Time being 1000 Years ago. According to Mattel, Comics overwrite the Classics Bios, but see the apropriate Classics Section for more Details on this.

Masters of the Multiverse

In previous stories it has been established that the new Comics are set in a Parallel-Universe, and it all ends with Masters of the Multiverse. There are, however, no clues when in the Prime-Timeline the events happen, so we set it at the End of the Classical Canon, just before the New Adventures (even if they’re shown here in a Parallel-Universe).

Masters of the Universe: Revelation

Another Problems occured with the Prequel-Comic for the New Cartoon. The most complicated Part: Skeletor is again from a species of Skeleton People and also has a wife and a child (though the World is no longer clled Infinita). His overall goal is to revive his Family. So there is a connection to the very first Minicomics. But if this Story is ture, why didn't Skeletor bring back his Family as soon as he had the Power of the Universe in the Series? And why should Hordak send Skeletor to Eternia alone when the World is the ultimate Prize to conquer?

Evil-Lyn provides an Solution for this by mentioning it is just a Story. Skeletor does not deny this. It was finally confirmed by Hordak in "Revolution" (the "Second" Season of Revelation) that it really was only a Story.

Evil-Lyns past matches the new Cartoon-Series (you just have to assume it is Keldor and not Skeletor as described in the apropriate Section). So we can ignore (for sake of the Chronology) the short Horde-Part in that place too.

On other occasions the Story confirms the Timeline of Events (thus going with the Year of 3225). Blade and Saurod are shwon, so it is clearly after the Rising of the Three Towers and the Movie.

King Grayskull also is black here. It might not be accepted by everyone, but that isn't a contradiction. More interestingly Hiss uses the Orlax to attack Grayskull and his Sons D'are and Ro. So He-Man renames his Son in Honor of Grayskulls Son. Hopefully Grayskull did the same for He-Ro and the image at the End does not imply, Ro becoming He-Ro later on, which would make matters more complicated. Probably Ro just took on the mantle and Armor of He-Ro. Wouldn't be the First Time in MOTU-Canon. But maybe we'll see more about that later in the future. He-Man again uses Time Travel to witness the Events. It is no contradiction as Grayskull doesn't recognize him. He-Man fought alongside Grayskull before but has always been in his "Preternia Disguise". Now he shows up normally in his armor. Chronologically this is the First Time for He-Man to meet the King (as is the opposite for Grayskull). The Events of "The Powers of Grayskull" are later in the Timeline. King Hiss is called General here, but this isn't necessarily a contradiction.

There is however another confusion with the Timeline. Skeletor mentions that the Orlax came here 500 Years ago, which doesn't fit with other mentions of Grayskull being 1000 Years in the Past. So maybe the Classics Error with the missing Zero or just an Error? As this is clearly wrong we have it in Grayskulls usual timeframe.

Legend of Space Sumo

Currently there are no clues when Space Sumo was created. Possibly 3217, as it is only "a few little years ago", but this event was left out of the Timeline at the Moment.

Books

Golden Books

There are two Stories named “The Power of Point Dread”, the Minicomic and the Story which comes along with a Second Story: “Danger at Castle Grayskull!”. This One must be placed before “The Tale of Teela” because of the Appearance of Point Dread shortly before Skeletor wants to conquer it (“The Tale of Teela”) and before Point Dread was placed atop of Grayskull. The Talon Fighter reappears in “Danger at Castle Grayskull” but from the Classic-Cartoon we know that he must be near the Palace. So he disappeared from Grayskull. “Danger at Castle Grayskull” was therefore placed in the Year it belongs to: 3217.

“New Champions of Eternia” (Golden Books) stated that Evil-Lyn, Tri-Klops and Beast Man might be Crewmembers of Marlena as she crashlanded on Eternia. But this is questionable – it could be a magical Trick of Skeletor or something else. Marlenas Crewmembers might be got Lost in the Dark Hemisphere but we can’t surely say that they’re Evil-Lyn and Co.. An interesting Fact is, that in the Golden Books (published mid-80s) there are much Things of the New Cartoon (the Mystic Wall, the Elders).

The 1987 She-Ra-Annual has a Printing Date from 1986 and is therefore placed there.

Audio Plays

Europa (He-Man & She-Ra)

The German She-Ra-Cassettes from 1986 have to be set in the appropriate Year after the Cartoon-Series (because of the Appearance of Sweet Bee they must be placed after “The Hive”). One must ignore that in the Cassettes everyone knows Adoras Secret. The Cassettes concentrate on the Toyline and not the Cartoon. The German MOTU-Cassettes begin in 1985 (the First 11 Numbers). No. 12-24 are from 1986, 25-34 from 1987.

They have been placed within their Production Years when the Comics End but beside the Cartoon. The 86’ Cassettes must be placed before the Appearance of the Eternia Towers – the Towers change Things on Eternia. Within the First Ehapa-Comic of 1987 we can see the Eternia Towers, so the Cassettes have to be placed before. The Destruction of Snake Mountain in No. 37 wasn’t as final as it seems (in No. 6 Snake Mountain is als destroyed but only one number later it reappears as if nothing happened, so this is the Same Problem). The Last 3 Numbers (35-37) are from 1988 but must be placed with the 1987 Cassettes because the Last 5 Numbers have a ongoing Story which plays a Few Days after another. Some of the Cassettes must therefore be placed directly after each other because they Name Events of Earlier Numbers. The New Adventures-Cassette presents the Same Story as the Ehapa-Comic and the Minicomics of the Toyline. The Touching of the Crystal with He-Man’s Sword must be placed somwhere between/during the First Episodes/Minicomic before the Theft of the Trifusium-Crystals – no matter that it is never mentioned in the NA-Series. In Cassette No. 2 we’re given an Explanation for Skeletor but it can’t be true (just watch the 2003 Series).

The Giants may have transformed their Evil through Time on Skeletor – you can also read this from their Explanations and it seems to be the Best solution of this Problem. Again we have no idea of how much the Friends travel back in time. Cassette No. 12 presents seemingly the first Meeting with Whiplash and Kobra Khan – very strange because it is a 3220’ Cassette. We have the First Appearance of the Dragon Walker here too. Well, we have to ignore this little Sentences because they make no Sense. The Same with the Appearances of Hordak and Battle Bones (in a Later Cassette we hear of more than one Battle Bones, so it’s obviously a mistake).

The destruction of the Talon Fighter is NOT a mistake: From the Minicomic “The Power of… Point Dread!” we know that the Talon Fighter once destroyed reapperas at Point Dread. No. 14 and 16 (and partly No. 17) are nearly identical with “Skeletor’s Ice Attack” and “Attack on Castle Grayskull” (the Ladybird Books). Like the Minicomics and the Cartoon it would make no Sense that two identical Events shall happen therefore the Books were placed with the Cassettes – no matter that their printing date is one Year earlier. The German Mattel-Magazine “Der Doppelgaenger” presents the Same Story like Cassette No. 7. There are sevral accounts in the Cassettes which prove that they have a Lot of mistakes and that some of them should be ignored: No. 21 and 22 for Example. Teela didn’t recognize Modulok instead of that she met him only One Number before. Or Multi-Bots First Appearance in No. 31 – he was also there in No. 29! And the “First Meetings” of No. 26 and 28… well, you see? Too much mistakes in the Cassettes to take this for Serious.

Masters of the Universe Classics

Mattel did a great job with the new Toyline and their respective Bioses'. What was intially thought of as a good reason - the combining of all Sources to a overall continuity - has finally become a terrible, horrible mess, as the BIOS mostly add new confusion and make things more complicated than necassary. We have tried to build in as many Information as possible.

However the additional BIOS from Super7 - who continued the Line with the official Licence - presented on their Homepage were also included as they also can be considered canon. They include also Bios for Artifacts.

Skeletors break-in into the Library of Heavens should be placed near the End of the NA-Series. The last Episodes of the Cartoon have a connected Story and end in a Peace Treaty. However He-Man is alone in this Episodes, but this is not necessarily a contradiction. (see more in the NA Section below).

Its also strange for the Temple of Darkness to appear with the Reborn Sorceress during the Time of Awakening. The Comic should be placed before, as it doesn't make sense in that part of the Timeline. It is shortly after the Rebuilding of Grayskull, which means that Skeletor rushed to the Temple of Darkness and kidnaps Zoar as depicted. But according to other Bios there were other things happening at the time. The 300 Years are however in line with the time mentionend in the Comic.

The Arrival of Rio Blast and Blast Attack was Retconned with "Revelation", as the latter is present there. The dates were left as in their Original Timeline.

Even Granamyrs Interaction with He-Ro and Eldor is wrong, as this was dated 500 Years ago. That was wrong in the original Timeline and it is in the revamped one.

The three evil factions joined forces with each other in the Terrorar Bios. This is consistent with the other comics (e.g. Ehapa) where they do this more often. It justifies the placing of those Comics before the second ultimate Battleground.

The mentioned Time Wars are the last Era of Motu and mentioned in the Bios. We don't know much about it, so I placed it to the chronologically last Event (to date) of MOTU (3251).

Cleaning up the Past, or: Why 5000 Years is not a good idea

The MOTU-Classics Bios initally described Hiss being banned into the Void 500 Years ago. Fans pointed out that this was wrong and Mattel corrected it in later Editions: now it was 5000 Years. This was corrected in more Bios and used in new ones from there on.

Instead of thinking detailled about it, they obviously lazily wrote a Zero on the 500 Number making it 5000 - and made things unnecessarily complicated. Other dates also won't fit with the 5000 Years and... well, it's a long time to wait, even for long life creatures.

If we look in the 2003-Cartoon the time of Grayskull is dated 1000 Years in the Past. There is hoewever no Timespan given in the old "Powers of Grayskull"-Comic as how long to the past the Time Travel goes. Mattel pointed out in a Q&A that the Comics "overwrite" the Bios-Data (Canon Priority). So lets put aside the Bios and their correcting of the Numbers for now and have a look on the other sources. The new "Powers of Grayskull 1"-Minicomic again pointed out the Date of 5000 Years into the Past.

But this is where the new Cartoon "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2021)" comes into hand. In Episode 7 the Time of King Grayskull is again stated as being 1000 Years in the Past (also in the third Season). The Classics-Bios retconned many things according the Death of King Grayskull (see below), which fit better in the Timeline, but according to Canon Priority the Cartoon now again overwrites the Comic (even though you might argue it's a Parallel Universe this doesn't count in that case, as core dates remain the same throughout the Saga). So King Grayskulls time is 1000 Years prior and not 5000, which better fits with the technological developments during that time. Plus, 5000 years is a long time for the Horde to wander around and find Etheria....

Notice: Of course everyone can decide on its own whether the 5000 Years should be accepted or not. 5000 Years would put the Time of King Grayskull at around 2000 BC.. Between the two time periods there aren't much key evenbts that happened....

Cleaning up more of the Past: He-Ro, King Grayskull and the First Ultimate Battleground

After we set the Timeframe of King Grayskull to 1000 Yearsin the Past we can now have a look to when the Great Wars exactly happened. Going from the 2003-Cartoon we're at 2213 (1000 Years into the Past). To be precise it is not mentioned, that Grayskull lived thousand Years prior but that the last Snake Invasion was at that time. Going with the fact that Grayskull has to set up an army first, it is not likely that all events happened in the same Year. It take some time but lets go with the Date of 2213 with the Start of Grayskulls arttack on the Snake Men by now (not the Events of the Episode itself).

The new "Powers of Grayskull"Comic must be moved further, at it now happened directly before the Second Ultimate Battleground (UBG2). This sets it to 3224, but we must see what "Revelation" offers us here in the Future. So if He-Man travels from this Period to the Past it would set Grayskulls campaign from 2213 to 2224. Nine Years, which seems a possible Timespan for a War. If we then place the Death of Grayskulls Brother directly ahead of this (maybe one year) we have a fully 10 Years Span.

It is debatable if the Great Wars started 2213 or 2214, but we go with 2213 as this is in line with the 1000 Year-Span from the Cartoon Episode. Also the End of the War: directly at the End of the First Ultimate Battleground or at the End of the 2003-Episode and the Horde Fight (2225)?

This 10 Years also see the coming of He-Ro, who must be trained to become such a Great Warrior. He also marries and has a daughter, but this doesn't interfere with the Rest of the Story. Coincidentally this also is the Time when Hordak and Horde Prime kill their Father. PRime then sends Hordak after He-Ro to Eternia to take over (acccording to his Bios) so I placed it roughly one year before the Events (this is due to change as this Events aren't fixed yet with an exact date). Also it would have been good to know He-Ros age when he started battling the Horde as we could then dvelve into his Story a little bit deeper. As there is no such date the Events of He-Ro before his Time on Eternia are not presented here. Why Hordak then accepts his Brother as Chief-in-Command thousand years later is debatable though, even if he secretly wants to overthrow him. Also is why he didn't send a fleet to Eternia to conquer the Star Seed. As we also know that at the first Ultimate Battleground (UBG1) not only the Eternians but also Horde and Snake Men were involved. It ended with Eldor sinking the Towers of Eternia. We also know that He-Ro died during UBG1 so this might be in 2224.

The three Towers must also have been built during that time and Tytus and his Giants assisted. Lets see if we can enclose this further, as it must be near the End of Grayskulls time, shortly before UBG1. UBG1 started with Hordaks treachery, who wanted the Power of the Towers for himself. So it is not long after they were built.

After this Castle Grayskull was built to honor King Grayskull. In the retconned timeline he will soon thereafter find his demise there. We must also ask how long the building of Grayskull has taken. Tytus was also involved here, his death in UBG1 was later corrected in the Bios, as they realized, he couldn't assist if he died there (this also indicates that the Author(s) didn't exactly know what they wrote).

Even with the Help of the Giants we can assume it would take roughly a year. After this the Battle with the Horde occurs as depicted in the 2003-Episode, 2225 to the latest (and still in line with the 1000 Year-Snake Invasion). This Invasion could also refer to the fightings of the Great Wars, but this is also in line with the Date. Hoewever it could be that it referred to the banning of the Snake Men shortly thereafter.

There has been a retcon according King Grayskulls Death. It wasn't in the Episode as shown (he made it through!) but at the festivities thereafter through King Hsss. You might argue that it was a Parallel Universe (the 2012-DC-Comics are set there) but core data remain the same also in Prime Continuity. This retcon also matches perfectly with the Rest of the Story concerning the Gar and Snake Men.

This means the escape of Saryn and it doesn't make sense for her to be on an Island for 5000 Years. A long time! But lets also have a look on the Events around the Kids of He-Ro and Grayskull, which also occur after all this. They should be at least 16 (like Adam) or older. If they were born during or near the End of the Great Wars this sets it between 2240 and 2250.

This canging of Events brings the Time travelling She-Ra to the Great Wars and moves Granamyrs mistrust against Humans shortly thereafter and in line with the Events of the First Ultimate Battleground and the fighting Dragons.

Diese Änderung der Ereignisse bringt die Zeitreisende She-Ra der Zukunft in die Zeit der Großen Kriege und schiebt Granamyrs Misstrauen gegenüber Menschen auf kurz danach.

Coincidentally this also is in line with the crashing of an Earth Starship on Eternia as depicted in the Movie-Comic. This brings the idea of a royal line to the Planet - and this leads to Grayskull being the First King. Maybe Veena was one of the Pilots?

Dates according the Sword of Caz are estimated Dates. For sure is only that after Grayskulls Death Vikor gets the Sword back and becomes the First He-Man. Vikors fights agiant his Enemies are placed with Draego-Mans retreat into the Caves of Rakash as he also fights the Dragon. Maybe he was the Reason for Draego's Retreat?

Vikors Time as He-Man is described as short, but later on he fights alongside He-Ra against Tyrantula, which must be at least 30 Years later. The Time of He-Ra dates back to around 2260.

Overview:

Sword of He

Lets take a closer look of the Story of the Sword of He. We don't, like always, get chronological Infos on that as to when it was made (as we also do not to all the other artifacts). Only one thing is for certain: It is able to channel the Power of the Star Seed and is given to an appropriate holder. But we can however fix the Swords History to certain Eras in Time, at least according to the first issue of the Revelation-Comic.

The First in this Line was He-Ro and his arrival in Eternia is the Point from which we can look at the Story of the Sword. He-Ro wasn't only a Wizard, but with the Sword of Power truly the "Greatest Wizard of them all". He died during the First Ultimate Battleground and passed along his Sword to King Grayskull. Then it was infused with the Power of the Elders of Trolla (and with Help of Scare Glow). At this time it became the Power Sword we all know. It wasn't there for long, as Grayskull died shortly thereafter (and gave part of his essence into it so that only his descendants could wield it). It is then stored in Grayskull - for a short period of time at least, before it is splitted into two halfes.

Now we have different accounts (Bios): One tells us it was 500 Years before Adams Birth (they clearly missed to add the "0" to the 500 Number as they did before), the other dates it shortly after Grayskulls Death. Both halfes are hidden in one of the Hemispheres (didn't need to split it up when it was in Grayskull though) and the Green Goddess trains upcoming He-Men. As Vikor is the First He-Man (of the North) shortly after Grayskulls Death, it makes sense for the Sword to be splitted up then.

None of the He-Men ever used the Sword however. Oo-Larr was the first to go out and reunite both Halfes for it could be cloned for the Sword of Protection (look Great Unrest for more Details). It was then separated again (oh seriously?) until Adam reunited it. Dureng the 2003-Cartoon He-Man uses an electronical Sword of Power, as the Original was still splitted and reunited later on in the Timeline. (The 2021-Cartoon-Series uses a look similar to the electronical Power Sword). That it is the electronical one was later confiremd with the King He-Man Figure, which has a rusty Version of the Sword coming with it.

Both halfes are then reunited (Details are yet to be revealed) and He-Man fights with the Sword from then on. 3223, during "Revelation", the Sword was splitted again and crafted again one year later (it was a simple merging in the first place). Later the Swords were going into Space alongside the Twins.

History of the Snake Men

Being a Snake Men is hard in these times. They're created around 1913 by the Unnamed One (and can live a long lifespan obviously). It is unclear how long this creation took. Could be Decades or Centuries but he was already trapped in the timeless Dimension. As the splitting of the Snake Men in UBG2 was very fast (as was their re-emerging later) we can keep the year here. He wants to conquer Eternia and sends Hiss there, but Hiss neeeds 300 Years for his first campaign (or his Reign), until he is defeated in the "Great Wars" by Hordak (UBG1). He joins the other races in creating the three Towers as a Peace Treaty however. Grayskull Tower by the Humans, Viper Tower by the Snake Men and Central Tower in the Middle - with help from Hordak and the Hordes. The Snake Men are a formidable Power at this time, despite their losses. It is not exactly known, if everyone knew from the beginning, that the three Towers channel the Powers from within Eternia, but it was known when they were sunk.

Hordak betrays everyone and attacks Grayskull shortly thereafter. He is defeated and send to Despondos. The Snake Men uses this for their return and murder Grayskull . The murdering of King Grayskull in the 2012-DC-Comics is the reason for this, even if it contradicts the Cartoon and might be settled in a Parallel Universe, as it was later retconned by Mattel. More on this in the King Grayskull Section. Serpos is banished and Snake Mountain gets its current form in 2214, during the Great Wars and before UBG1.

This leads King Hiss to attack Eternia again. Hiss is now on the Edge of Victory as Eternia is weakened at this Point. Vikor also fights Hiss at this time. But Zodak and the Elders are able to ban Hiss into the Void.

Now Hiss and his Men are trapped for nearly 1000 Years. (Even though the Bios mention 500 years it was later said this is incorrect and corrected to 5000 Years. Why this doesn't make sense anymore you can read in the King Grayskull Section). Then Hiss and his minions are freed (2003 Cartoon) and defeated. They're banished back into the Void (not shown), while Tung Lashor and Rattlor escape and stay free (this is to an extent shown in the Cartoon). Interestingly enough the Classics Bios (BA King Hsss) state, that Hordak banned Hss and his minions into a Sort of Winter Sleep. Maybe thats what this is about and why Rattler and Tung joined Hordak (despite being betrayed by Kobra Khan). Now the Classic-Cartoon follows and they are seen with the Horde there. A few Years later Skeletor frees King Hiss again. Obviously he needs help in his fight against He-Man and uses Kobra Khan as spy to overthrow Hiss somewhen in the Future. This time the Snake Army didn't return. After having Tung Lashor and Rattlor back from the Horde, as shown in the Minicomics, he tries to free more of his Generals. Rattler and Lashor beg for Mercy for joining the Horde as they didn't think Hiss would ever return.

Going with the Classics Bios Tung and Rattlor leave Hiss after an intrigue by Kobra Khan. They then join the Horde. This was due to the Classics-Cartoon being placed before the second Season of the 2003-Cartoon. See the He-Man-Section for more Details on this. This doesn't make sense as their time with the Horde would be short and contradict "King of the Snake Men", where they rejoin Hiss because they thought he would never return.

The next Generals to be freed are Snake Face and Sssqueeze alike bevor the Portal to the Void is ultimately destroyed by He-Man (Comic "Flying Fists of Power"), Year 3220. This means that most of the Snake Army is forever trapped and then the Second Ultimate Battleground follows later in the Future. Here, the Snake Men are defeated using the Spell of Seperation. But don't worry, they retun later when Lady Slither returns from Trolla with the remnants of the escaped Snake Army.

Again there aren't much dates to go with, but with the Homecoming-Comics and the mentioned "Years after..." we can make some great assumptions here, rounding up the Story of the new Snake War...

Cleaning up the Present: Great Unrest

The Great Unrests began before Adam was born. They end with the Victory over Keldor and the building of the Mystic Wall. Like always, however, we do net get any chronological Data about the Timeframe. So much is speculation at this point.

It must have been before the disappearance of Miro, as Miro fought Marzo until he was gone and Keldor and Randor grew up at the time. So Miro already met Saryn. I assumed 20 years roughly (according to "Legends of Eternia"-Comic), even if it seems high (might be corrected later).

The Great Unrests begin with Marzos attack at Miro's Kingdom. Miro is later banished by Marzo and Keldor and Randor join forces to defeat him. Keldor shortly becomes King but is exiled after being accused of Murdering his Mother (Secret Origin of Skeletor). This would theoretically End the Great Unrests but then Keldor starts his Rebellion. This was rectified a little bit as Keldor surely didn't gather his minions and attack in less then one year after this.

So we stretched it to the two years before the Birth of the Twins. We also know from the Christmas Special that Adora and Adam are born at Christmas. So in the Year 3196 Keldor attacke dthe Hall of Wisdom, but this must be before their birth, as it surely isn't in the last days of the Year. However the Events must be in close range together, as Skeletor kidnaps Adora later. Skeletor isn't recognized later, but this might be due to the erasing of the memories of the Eterninas through the Sorceress.

Also Keldors attack on the Hall of Wisdom is together with a Horde Invasion, so this might explain why he attacks only with a few villains. The Horde is defeated and Hordak escapes with Adora. FRom "She-Ra and the Rebel Princesses" we know that shortly thereafter he invades Etheria, so he must have find the Planet around that time. (Even if the Series is in a Parallel Universe core events remain the same so this must also be around 3197 and not in the last days of 3196, as this would be too much).

It is debatable when the Mystic Wall was build. Obviously not long after the attack on the Hall of Wisdom, but it could also be years. The Classics Retconned this to be Oo-Larr who fought Skeletor.

This is also the most famous change the Classics made to the Storyline: Oo-Larr and the first Minicomics. They are now retconned at taking place as Skeletor was gone mad shortly and crafted a Battle Armor. He then went behind the Mystic Wall and cloned Teela (as shown in the "Tale of Teela"-Comic, so the Past-Section of this Comic takes place in 3197 as well). As do the first four Minicomics. Oo-Larr has to prevent the merging of the two halfes of the Power Sowrd. At the end he sends Skeletor back with three quick strikes on his Battle Armor.

Seems acceptable at first but causes a few other problems. Fist of all: The Interpart Papaerbacks give an Explanation for the Teela outside Grayskull: it's just the Goddess in disguise. And why don't Skeletors Minions not remember his attacks on Grayskull? The memory wipe from the Sorceress also? And not to forget the first DC-Comics, where the four Minicomics already had been retconned as Adam making a sabbatical with the Tiger Tribe (this is now still in 3215)?

However, I've placed the Four Minicomics to this point in the Timeline to go with the newer Classics-Canon.

Cleaning up the Present:He-Mans Story

There are some essential changes to the He-Man History as we know it. First of all "The Ordeal of Man-E-Faces" was placed with He-Mans 18th Birthday, which isn't a big deal.

The bigger thing is the Death of the Sorceress and Teela taking over. It was connected to the poisoning of Hiss in the Second Season of the 2003-Cartoon. Shortly after this the Sorceress trained Teela. And as she later died (possibly of the poison) Teela took over. However the later Stories are hard to go in line with this Informations.

Things, like the passing of the Zoar-Shape, are also dated late in the Classics-Bios-Timeline - so after the re-emerging of the Three Towers. So Teela taking over should be late in He-Mans History (shortly before the second Ultimate Battleground (UBG2) as depicted in the Classics). There is also said that the Sorceress of NA was the Sorceress in Ghost-form, which is okay so far (see NA-Section for more on this).

The Problem is the mentioned Death of the Sorceress after the second Season of the 2003-Cartoon. The Classics itself seem to solve this by placing the Classic-Cartoon after the First Season of the 2003-Cartoon (after it all began with He-Man). After all the Classic-Stuff the second Season of 2003-Cartoon is then placed there. The Sorceress dies and UBG2 takes places.

However there is a bunch of Problems with this. First of all there is an overall story in the 2003-Cartoon which is now interrupted in a way. You might consider throwing all Events in one Year of the Timeline (3217), but this year is already overloaded. And considering all the later comics to have also come in line it is nearly impossible. It would mean cramping all He-Man stuff down to one or two years. And don't forget that He-Man has his technological Sword in Season 2, even if you might ignore this.

The explicit circumstances of the Sorceress Death are not mentioned. As Teela gets her memories wiped in "Teela's Quest" this could also happen there. We now have a gap in 3215 and 3216 and the Timeline fits with Rattlor and Tung joining the Horde (see Snake Men Section).

But we also have to look at the other comics and the Audio Plays and thats why I decided to leave the Timeline at it was in the first place. The gap is also the time of the reuniting of the Power Sword, He-Man trained by the Goddess (as Mattel mentioned his transformation was merely with 18). This makes more sense.

The new "Revelation"-Cartoon goes with this theory, as the Sorceress clearly lives. We also have to consider Adams Age, which is 22 in the Classic Cartoon. In 2003-Cartoon it was 16. Even if we consider he got the Sword with 18 (see above mentioned retcon) all events in Adams Life happen in a few years, so from 17-20 or even 18-20. So all the Stuff, Classic Cartoon, She-Ra, all Comics and Audo Plays - impossible and senseless, don't you think? And remembe rthe wiser He-Man of the Clasics-Era. UBG2 with He-Man 20 and he then goes to space in the same age? Hard to believe (and why was he rejuvenated later when he returns with 30 Years from Space?). And yep, he looks a bit younger in "Revelation" but this might not be a mistake.

Placing She-Ra ("Princess of Power") is far easier to that point, as her Final Battle is near the End of He-Mans time on Eternia. But lets have a look at UBG2 first.

At the End of the He-Man-Story on Eternia Randor is banished to Despondos and Skelteor took over. Masters became Renegades. We can ask however if this is the same story as in the Audio Plays, as they share some similarities. But the Sorceress is alive and interacts with Teela, and even if we keep into fact, that the first four Minicomics were retconned to be placed in 3197 (Teela to mention) it are a lot of things to delete. And its not Hordak kicking Skeletors butt, but the Masters. If you count the Movie (also see below) this is the third Time Skeletor took over as King. As mentioned above Hordak threw Skeletor off the Throne. The Laser Gate not only brought him but his whole Army to Eternia. If we have a look at all the Comics that were published (at least after Adora was discovered) Hordak visited Eternia eralier (Crossovers, Dimensions are nearing and so on). With Hordaks attack the Snake Men and the Masters meet in Battle which is UBG2. To leave space for "Revelation" and further Seasons it was placed one year after the Series (due to change).

Cleaning up: The Movie

While the Bios of "Dark Despot Skeletor" goes clearly with the Story of the Movie, those of "God Skeletor" and "Rebel Leader He-Man" just bring new Problems with them. In "God Skeletor" it is mentioned, that Skeletor seeks godlike Powers after his visit in the Library of Heaven - AFTER the New Adventures (NA). So he gains his gold look at the Time and fought He-Man in an Epic Battle before the Great Eye (as shown in the Movie).

There are a few Problems with this. First of all, the Cosmic Key was connected to the Power of Central Tower to enable Time Travel (this also comes form the Classics Bios!). As Gwildor was first introduced during the Movie (but storywise a l ittle earlier in a Minicomic), so the Adventures with him and the Cosmic Key has to take place after that. This is also for the late Ehapa Comics on Eternia. But this is the time of King He-Man and we clearly see King Randor! Well, one could argue, that, along with Miro, Randor returned during the Awakening. He-Man becomes the good old Adventurer again and travels through Time and Space in Search of Adventures. A few discrpancies remain however. Sorceress and Teela exist at the same time. Okay, the Sorceress also returns during the Awakening, but who of the two is to take the old place in Grayskull? And even if King He-Man gave the Power back to his father, whats about Miro? Did he the same thing? You might explain all of that by simply answering this suggestions with a mere "Yes". But it is also the time of Dare, the Son of He-Man and Teela who are married. And no, not in the Movie or the following Comics does it look like He-Man and Teela are married or have children. Another memory wipe by the Sorceress? Or is Dare there but invisible? Come on, I think all of you can figure out that thats enough of this mess. It doesn't make sense for "God Skeletor" to be there after NA.

To add another curiosity to the whole mess we also have the Bios of "Rebel Leader He-Man". While his Bios is in line with the rest of the Timeline (Renegade-Masters, Prototype of Cosmic Key, NA and He-Mans Return) the movie becomes mentioned again. As mentioned before Gwildor must be around the Time of the re-emerging of the Three Towers, before the Second Ultimate Battleground. And it doesn't make sense to spilt the movie story apart. The Bios also mentions He-Man fights in his Rebel Armor against Go(l)d Skeletor, as they is more protective against him. But in the Movie He-Man doesn't even wear his Armor in the last fight!

Maybe the upcoming end of the Classics Line were responsible for this Errors? Lets go with the fact, that Skeletor again tried to become a God and again was stopped by He-Man. This is, interestingly enough, in line with the Bios of "Legendary Overlord Skeletor", where Skeletor again tries to become a God. If the Bios really meant, that the Events of the Movie should be set after the NA, it doesn't make sense.

Going into Space: He-Man and New Adventures

The Classics also retconned the New Adventures. He-Man not only travelled with Skeletor into the Future..ahm to Primus, the other Heroes follow. That was a Fan demand back in the 90s, as they wanted their known Heroes in the NA Setting. The Sorceress however is shown to be only a Ghost during the NA-Era.

So there is no Time travel anymore (Skeletor mentions "One Million Years in the Future"). The Heroes just traveled into Space where the Adventures occur. This makes sense as the Classics added a Period after the NA back on Eternia (see next Section). The exact years are of minor importance here.

You have, however, to take a look as to when the Heroes followed He-Man into Space. This is ok, but we have to ask when the Series takes place. Instead of retconning the whole startup of NA, we turn it around this time and use the vague formulations of the Classics Bios to our advantage. He-Man meets Teela in the Series and seh talks of a peaceful Eternia, so this is the time where the Heroes must follow He-Man. The intial starting of Na with Skeletor and He-Man remains intact, both travelled to Space in the First Place (and with the little Story Modifications mentioned in the NA-Section). She-Ra came along but fought another battle first and the Series occured.

"Once upon a time", the 45th Episode of the NA-Cartoon, presents Teela. At this Time most of the Series is over and its now the Endgame. So the other Heroes should arrive here. The End of the Mutants is, according to the Classics. Only the End of the Hordes Mutant Army. He-Man and She-Ra then continue to fight Horde Prime. It is, of course, strange that, at the Time, Teela and the Sorceress are one and the Same person (as retconned not only in Classics but also in "Revelation"). Also the showing of his secret identity in the NA-Pilot Movie is strange. However it is of minor significance for the Story (then Teela and the Sorceres are the same in NA). There is also a Story Gap between Revelation/Revolution and NA (see in the Relevation-Section for further Info).

The changing of the Heroes to their 200X-Shapes also has no influence on the Story.

From a timely perspective the NA took 5 Years, and after that, He-Man searches for She-Ra another 10 Years before returning. This is when the other Adventures of the Eternian Heroes take place. Like always there aren't exact dates but I estimated it and placed them in there.

This is how the Classics and NA tie together.

Adventures Beyond: Reawakening

After the retun of He-Man and the Heroes to Eternia (after 15, or 10, Years in Space) the Story continues, as this is the Time of Homecoming. Dare was 16 when getting the Sword, so this fits in the Timeline.

So Grayskull is destroyed, the Unnamed One defeated and then shortly thereafter (possibly a year but again not mentioned directly) the Reawakening occurs (and Keldor/Skeletor also returns). THe Heroes are rejuvenated and the Dead come back.

What follows are the new Snake Wars and the Time Wars - but again without chronological Dates. The Events are nontheless placed after all of that, as this is the Endpoint of the Masters Story at the Time. Why it doesn't make sense to place older Comics and stories here was mentioned earlier.

Another discrepancy is the Bios of Ultimate He-Man. It is mentioned here that He-Man fights as a King against the Riders of Morc, wghich is a clear reference to the Interpart-Comic. But does He-Man look old in the Story? One might argue about many things in the chaotic Timelines of MOTU, but when essential things don't match it couldn't be for the Adventures to take place to the Time of King He-Man. As we follow the Bios further along we see that He-Man and She-Ra already reign on Eternia and the Reawakening is AFTER that events! Even if we assume for a moment that some Adventures take place in this timeframe for the first time, shouldn't there be after 30 Years some sort of development between the Heroes instead of the usual battle of Castle Grayskull (Which also isn't present at that Date!). So no, we must assume some sort of returning from the Riders....

Also incorrect is the Time mentioned in the Bios of the Golden Power Sword. It is said that He-Mana nd his fifteen-year old Son travel to Grayskull, two years after he returned. Well, if He-Man was away 15 Years shortly before Dare's birth, than Dare is either 17 or thw whol Thing happens shortly after He-Mans return.

Origins

Placing the Origins-Comics wasn't a great problem. Due to the prescence of many known characters they were placed later in the Timeline.

In "Challenge of Jitsu" there is another Duel between Jitsu and He-Man, while Buzz-Off asks him who he is. But He-Man definitively met him before, for example in the Interpart-Comics. This is only a Minor discrepancy of course and it is possible that Buzz-Off hasn't met Jitsu before (or maybe another Forget-Spell?). It could also be possible for this to be the same story, slightly different interpreted and thus placing the Comic in 3219 with the Interpart-Comic. To be in line with the other Origin-Comics it was however placed there.

"Sun-Man rises" also has some discrepancy, as Skeletor opens a Portal and leads Anti-Eternia He-Man to the Planet. Didn't they have to know each other from earlier (Audio Play)? But placing the Comic earlier in the Timeline won't really fit du to the Presence of the Horde. There is however a vide Masters Multiverse (remember the Comic?) so this is possibly another Anti-He-Man. And Skeletor does want acces to other worlds as depicted in the Origins-Comics. He doesn't learn from the Past, however....

"Rise of the Snake Men" clearly takes place during the first Snake Men Incursion (200X). He-Man has his Tech Sword, the Goddess is there and he doesn't know Sun-Man.

"Assassins Aim" mentions the Split Power Sword from the Beginning. This would place the Story around 3215, before Hiss Second Banishment. But Hypno from the Rulers of the Sun is also present and the Arrival of Sun Man occurs a few Years later. However, there is no evidence on when single chjaracters from the Rulers arrive on Eternia, so it is possible that Hypno is present before that time (like Bolt-Man). Therefore the Events are placed in the context of the Story.

"Legend of Duplico" is also placed, despite the name drop of Sun Man, in 3214 during Hiss first Attack due to the Snake Armor.

"Crisis at the Multi-Core" shows us the cosmic Key and the Multiverse, which came to know to our Heros in the late MOTU-Eras. Therefore it should take place around 3225.

"Viper's Vice" was placed in 3221 right after "The Getaway". Both stories are similar and could happen at the same time or depict slight alternative Versions of the same events.
