Als temporale Zersplitterung bezeichnet man die Aufsplittung eines Ortes in mehrere Zeitbereiche, in denen sie unterschiedlich schnell verläuft.
Im Gegensatz zu einem Temporalen Fragment ist in diesem Fall keine Zeitanomalie die Ursache, sondern eine Wechselwirkung äußerer Umstände, z.B. bei einem Unfall.
